Determined to succeed
James’ journey with BAES is a powerful example of what determination, resilience and a genuine love of learning can achieve.
Over several years, he has steadily built his skills, and since September 2025 has taken on the challenge of GCSE English Language with unwavering commitment. Open about his ADHD, James has never seen it as a barrier. Instead, he has embraced new strategies, developed strong study habits and shown a “can’t quit, won’t quit” attitude.
A valued member of the class
James has shown excellent attendance throughout the academic year, missing only a handful of sessions due to NHS appointments. A supportive and positive member of the group, he brings energy and encouragement to those around him, and his presence is genuinely missed when he isn’t there.
