Nabila’s story

A journey of growth

Nabila’s learning journey shows the power of determination and self-belief.

She joined our community provision to build her confidence, become more independent and improve her chances of finding work. What she has achieved since then has been remarkable.

Developing new skills

Through her computer course, Nabila has developed valuable digital skills, including Microsoft Word, online safety and email. These skills have given her the confidence to manage everyday tasks online, including accessing support services for her child with special needs.

Alongside this, she challenged herself by attending a hair and makeup course at Aston Centre. What once felt out of reach has become a source of pride, giving her practical skills and greater confidence in her abilities.

“I now have the IT skills to join online workshops, so I can support my child.“

Growing in confidence

Nabila’s growth hasn’t just been academic. She has become increasingly confident in class, actively contributing and supporting others. Her kindness and willingness to help have made a real difference to her peers.

Beyond the classroom, her learning has improved her well-being and helped her feel more optimistic about the future.

Now working with the Find my Future team on her CV and exploring employment opportunities, Nabila is even considering volunteering to support others – showing just how far she has come.
