Jonathan’s Story
A welcoming presence in the centre
Jonathan has brought warmth, humour and a strong sense of community to the centre from day one. Friendly and approachable, he makes others feel welcome and included.
Last year, he designed and 3D printed ID card holders for fellow learners and staff – a thoughtful gesture that reflects his kindness and generosity, As Jonathan says, “We’re like one big family here. I’ve made so many friends, and we all look out for each other.“
Growing through learning
Jonathan is committed to making the most of every opportunity, arriving early each day with a positive attitude to learning. His Computer Skills course has boosted his confidence and helped him become more independent in using technology in everyday life.

Finding confidence again
While studying English, Jonathan experienced a traumatic incident that affected his confidence and mental health. He made the difficult decision to step back and focus on his wellbeing.
With the support of staff and classmates, he gradually rebuilt his confidence and has since re-engaged with his computer qualification, rediscovering his love of learning in a community that continues to support him.
