The key to a successful life in the UK
Developing communication skills in English will give you the confidence to be more independent.
Improving your English will enable you to talk to your neighbours, confidently go shopping, help your children with homework, or visit a doctor and be understood. It will also help you to get a job or apply for better ones.
What skills will you learn on an ESOL course?
Our courses run from the pre-entry level for learners who have very little English to Level 2 for learners who want to develop their English for further study or employment. On an ESOL course, you will develop and practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. You will be learning the language you need to interact with your local community and make the most of employment training and job opportunities.
Who should enrol onto an ESOL course?
If English is not your first language and you are a permanent resident in the UK, then one of our ESOL courses is just what you’re looking for! Our qualified staff will help you to become more confident using English, which will empower you to take more control of your everyday life.
When you join a course, you will also be able to access extra opportunities to practise your English by joining our Conversation Clubs, participating in various well-being activities, or becoming an ESOL Buddy. We also offer short courses to help you develop your IT skills and prepare you for jobs, as well as further courses in health and social care. We even run a course to help you gain the language knowledge you will need for the Driving Theory test.
What to expect when you join one of our ESOL courses
Before you join a course, you will have an assessment. The information from this will help our team find a course at the right level for you so that you have the best chance of success.
Our courses are classroom-based and run in the morning or afternoon, twice or three times a week. You will learn English using real-life situations, and classes will include individual work, group work, pair work, role-play, discussions, and presentations.
